Student Birthday Policy

We know that parents and students are excited to celebrate birthdays with classmates.  Please know that we are excited for your student's birthday as well.  We have put a policy in place that aligns with our District Food Service Department.

 

1) Birthdays are recognized two ways:  a) during morning announcements (students also receive a birthday pencil), and b) in the case of some classrooms (based on the individual teacher), may be done in the classroom.

2) Outside food is not allowed for birthday celebrations due to severe allergies that students may have, and also due to our Food Service Health Policy.

3) Birthday invitations are not permitted to be handed out by students during the school day.

4) Please email your child's classroom teacher if you have questions or concerns regarding the birthday policy or what is permitted in the classroom.

 

Thank you for adhering to our birthday policy, both for those student's with severe allergies, and for the social-emotional well being of all of our students.
