We are extremely excited to welcome our new students and returning students from summer and to continue our partnership with our PTO to provide the best instructional and enjoyable experiences for our students. We come back together under our adventure theme for 2023-2024:

Enrolling your student at Plavan is a blessing. Plavan is an award winning school, representing Fountain Valley School District as a CA Distinguished School for 2023!
Last Spring, Plavan students exhibited the excellent classroom instruction and our strong partnership with our parents. Our students performed well above state, county, and our district averages on both the ELA & Math sections of the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP). We made improvements from last year's award winning scores where 82% of our students are meeting or exceeding state standards in both Reading & Math. Excellent instructional outcome is just one of our goals here at Plavan. Here, we seek to develop the "whole" child through our programs that are dependent on the quality partnership with our staff and parents. This year we will continue this trend with support from our new PTO board, elementary school counselors, PE teachers, Art instruction, Music program, reading intervention teachers and of course, our wonderful parents.
Through our partnership with our amazing PTO, our students and families experience fun, community events such as Art Explorers, Trunk or Treat, Movie Nights, Jog-A-Thon, Multicultural Week, Egg Hunt, Family Dance, Plavan Carnival, as well as enriching assemblies and field trips.
