Spring Behavior Reminders

Every Spring, we often need to remind our students to be on their best behavior due to "Spring Fever". Please review the attached information with your child (children) to keep all students safe this Spring at Plavan. Information was sent home in Monday envelopes on 2/26/18. Please sign and return to us by Friday, March 2.

FVSD moves to Peachjar E-flyers

Beginning February 1, the Fountain Valley School District (FVSD) will utilize an electronic flyer (e-flyer) distribution system, Peachjar, in an effort to improve communication, ensure a strong link between home and school, and to enhance community support and involvement in the schools. Every school, the district, and outside organizations will use Peachjar to distribute district-approved e-flyers to families districtwide. These e-flyers reduce staff time, save money, utilize technology, and are more environmentally conscious. In addition, these e-flyers are available for reference on each school’s website even after the email has been deleted.

The ABC's of Plavan provides information needed for your child from Absences to Zero Tolerance and everything in between. We hope this resource will be beneficial to you throughout the year.

Reminder - Classroom Snacks, Lunches and Birthday Celebrations at School!

We love that students want to celebrate their birthdays with us at Plavan; however, there are restrictions placed on the types of foods allowed at school due to our Wellness Policy. Please always check with the office AND your child's teacher before bringing any food for birthdays, non-edible favors are preferred. Cupcakes and other sweets cannot be brought to school for classroom consumption. Also, fast food lunches are discouraged as unhealthful. If your child does not want to eat what is on the hot lunch menu, please pack a healthy lunch and send it with them in the morning.

TK (Transitional Kindergarten) Registration is Here!

Go to the District Website or click the link below and be sure to put your child's name on the interest list in order to be considered for Transitional Kindergarten for the 2018/2019 school year! All registration is handled through the District Office not at the school level.

Transitional Kindergarten is for those students turning 5 years of age between September 2 and December 2, 2018.
