Fulton Middle School’s Rolando Vivar Named Orange County Outstanding PAL Advisor of the Year

Mrs. Deidre Hill, a representative from the Orange County Department of Education (OCDE), visited the campus to officially name Mr. Vivar an Orange County Outstanding PAL Advisor of the Year. This prestigious award recognizes educators who go above and beyond in mentoring students and fostering exceptional student leadership. The surprise was a beautifully coordinated effort, made even more meaningful by the presence of Mr. Vivar’s wife, who came to celebrate his dedication alongside his proud Peer Assistance Leadership (PAL) students and colleagues.

Known for his student-centered approach, Mr. Vivar was quick to state that his partner in the program, Fulton Counselor Allyson McFerran, was just as deserving of the honor, and reminded the room that the true success of the program belongs to the students themselves.

Under Mr. Vivar's guidance, the PAL program at Fulton empowers middle schoolers to act as peer mentors, resolve conflicts, and build a welcoming, inclusive environment for all students.

The Fountain Valley School District extends its highest praise and congratulations to Mr. Rolando Vivar for this well-deserved county recognition, and our thanks to Ms. McFerran and the phenomenal Fulton PAL students. Thank you, Mr. Vivar, for your leadership, your heart, and for always keeping the focus on what matters most: our students!
