Welcome

Hello Plavan Panthers! My name is Mara Rieck. I grew up in Southern California and earned my BA and Teaching Credential from CSULB. I have been so lucky to be part of the Plavan Family since 2006. I currently team teach with my fellow teacher, Becky De Julio in 4th grade. Also, I am Plavan's Student Success Team coordinator and the director of the school play. I have been trained in Junior Great books, thinking maps, GATE, and currently being trained in the CGI philosophy. When I am not teaching I am spending time with my husband of 13 years, our 3 children, and our 2 dachshunds.
