Welcome to the Plavan Library!
Plavan Library Collection:
To log in go to: Destiny Discover
Enter your username which is your school email address (ex. [email protected])
Your password: Enter your six-digit student ID number followed by two zeroes (example: 52593600)
You can now browse the catalog, check your account, put a hold on books that are Checked OUT, or open E-Books. (Be sure to close the book when finished reading.)
Student email addresses and six-digit student ID numbers can be found on your Aeries Parent Portal account if you don't have that information handy at home.
Library Policies:
- Library class visits are every week.
- Kindergartners may check out 1 book, 1st-4th graders 2 books, and 5th graders 3 books.
- Library books are due every week; however, a child may renew any unfinished books.
- Students may come at morning recess to return books, check out new books, renew books, or read when the library is open.
- There are no late fees! However, lost or damaged books must be replaced or paid for to maintain uninterrupted borrowing privileges. Keeping your library books in the same safe, dry place is a money and time saver.
- Students with outstanding books or unpaid lost book fees will not be able to check out new books until the issue is resolved.
- Students may come return books or get new books outside of their class time with teacher permission or at recess any day the library is open.
Important message!
To minimize the occurrence of lost/damaged books, it is helpful to have your child pick a safe spot away from pets, younger siblings, food, and liquids. Keeping books in a plastic bag or in a separate part of their backpack is also a great way to keep books safe.
Please encourage your child to enjoy and take care of our library books and return them on time to get more books. Also, please enjoy the library books WITH your children!
