Kindergarten Enrollment for 2020-2021 School Year (Informational Meeting (Kindergarten Round-Up) Feb. 27th-1:30 p.m.)

Plavan School is conveniently located right off of the 405 freeway on Warner between Brookhurst and Bushard. We are on the border of Fountain Valley and Garden Grove Districts, but are located in the Fountain Valley School District. We are fully air-conditioned, have an on-site before and after school program (for a fee) - ESP (Extended School Progam), and are also serviced by two private providers for before and after school care pick up and drop off.

We have three amazing kindergarten classrooms with teachers that have over 25 years of experience combined. We focus on educating the heart and the mind of the whole child, and have innovative curriculum including ST Math, Cognitively Guided Instruction, and child-focused learning.

Over half of the students that attend Plavan are on a transfer application from a district other than Fountain Valley School District. If you believe that Plavan would be a good fit for your family for next school year, please reach out to us to add your child to our interest list, and we can let you know at that time what steps to take to secure your child's spot.  Please see the Transfer page on the district website here for further information:  https://www.fvsd.us/apps/pages/transfers

Plavan Elementary School has grades from TK (Transitional Kindergarten) all the way through 5th Grade and feeds into Masuda, Fulton and Talbert Middle Schools (6th to 8th Grade), all award winning California Distinguished Schools.  Please see the TK Transitional Kindergarten Tab for information on Transitional Kindergarten.

Kindergarten Round-Up is scheduled for Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. here at Plavan (see flyer attached), and online registration will go live March 2nd, after which time you can complete your child's enrollment for the 20/21 school year by bringing in the documents required.  Those completing their registration will get a slip for the ESP Before and After School Program in order to enroll when they open their enrollment if care is needed.
